The Flower Factory
The Flower Factory Studio is 900 Sq feet of creative space set over the top two floors of a light industrial furniture factory built circa 1900. A corner property located in the heart of Columbia Road E2 the studio enjoys abundant natural daylight from a unique vantage point overlooking the charming historic rooftops and cobbled streets. The architecture of the studio was purpose built to make the most of the light, utilising triple aspect windows. The studio retains many of the original features; wooden window frames, doors and painted floorboards. On Sundays the street hosts the vibrant Flower Market with its shops and cafes in full swing. During the week the mood is quieter but well placed for local amenities.
The studio has recently been renovated & the 1st floor has been opened into one large master bed/bath. A footed bath and walk in shower are set against a handmade soft plaster tadelakt wall. Pine planking lines the staircase and whitewashed American ‘pioneer style’ boarding makes the bed/bath wall. New oak stair treads take you up to the top floor where the ceiling has been raised to expose the beams and whitewashed pine planks. The top floor open plan kitchen/dinning is fully equipped for cooking and food shoots. There are trestles, ply and stone surfaces on offer. The fridge is vintage with a small freezer compartment. Specialist equipment can be hired in as needed. The balcony is just big enough for a small team and lunch on a sunny day.
